Ambler Olympic Club

The Ambler Olympic Club is a grassroots organization based in Ambler, Pennsylvania, consisting of volunteers, coaches, parents and alumni. The organization provides healthy recreational programs for youth ages seven through eighteen, emphasizing cross-country and track and field training and competition. AOC is registered with the Amateur Athletic Union(AAU) and competes in AAU sanctioned events. The Club's mission is to support the overall development of its participants by developing physical and athletic skills while instilling character and sportsmanship. It was formed in 1966 by Leon Hill, Sr. as an avenue for his children to compete in track and field and as a way to reach out to other children in the community. The club has continued to grow over the years, and is proud to have several Olympians among its alumni. The club currently has running programs in the spring, summer, and fall, and the practices are held at the Larry Wilson Stadium. The stadium is part of Gwynedd Mercy College located on Sumneytown Pike.
